Tender description

The Royal Voluntary Society (RVS) support individuals as they are being discharged from hospital. RVS provide match funding to this service, contributing £32,500 for the financial year. The fund match would not be available if this service was to be delivered by any other body and therefore is a niche service offer. It is essential that we support people through hospital discharge pathways. This service is an alternative to the more costing home first and home first services and therefore should be considered an essential service under the spending justifications in the spend freeze. Additionally, arrangements need to be made urgently to preserve the continuity of current arrangements for vulnerable service users, preventing serious disruption to the service, whilst safeguarding the availability of match funding.
