DBC (SF) Taxi Compliance Testing - AWARD

Tender description

Testing and inspection on behalf of Dacorum Borough Council (DBC), of all Hackney Carriages and Private Hire Vehicles who operate their business within the Borough of Dacorum. DBC believes that the integrity of its Hackney Carriage and Private Hire testing arrangements is very important to maintain the standard and confidence in the services provided to the community, accordingly, an essential requirement would be the appointment of a provider who is unconnected with the Hackney Carriage or Private Hire trades and must be able to provide this within the boundaries of the borough of Dacorum. The Provider on behalf of DBC will be required to carry out approximately 500 to 600 annual compliance vehicle checks, in accordance with the MOT test conditions laid down by the Vehicle & Operators Services Agency (VOSA). In addition to, and at the same time as the MOT checks, the Contractor will also be required to carry out additional Compliance Checks, as specified by DBC.
