Tender description

The Works comprise the repair and renewal of 2 No bridges (Bridge 1 involving specialised work to a wrought iron footbridge and Bridge 2 - the replacement of a corroded handrail and corrosion protection of structural steel) together with stone consolidation works at Bridge 1 to a limestone masonry retaining wall, involving some rebuilding of the capping, replacement of missing stones and deep pointing in lime mortar together with repairs to the capping of the river wall itself and repairs to a set of stone steps plus similar repairs to the steps leading from the pathway to the river adjoining Bridge 2 all in two separate “live” occupied public locations as per the Detailed Drawings, Specification and other Documents which form part of the Tender Documents/Works Requirements.
