Autism Navigation Service - Market Engagement Notification

In preparation for a forthcoming procurement opportunity, Essex County Council would like to invite organisations to participate in a market engagement event for those interested in delivering an Autism Navigation Service. Essex County Council (ECC) are looking to provide a countywide approach to Autism Navigation Support. ECC Adult Social Care, hold a joint responsibility with Health colleagues to support Adults in Essex seeking a diagnosis. Support should be made available at all stages of this pathway. Working together, Health and Social Care teams must appropriately support Adults pre-diagnosis, during a clinical diagnostic assessment, and post-diagnosis The Council intends to commission a countywide Autism Navigation Service, from April 2021. It is expected that this service will: • build upon the successes of the previous Autism Navigation Service pilot, • inform future commissioning strategies for autism specific services. The market engagement session is scheduled to take place on Thursday 15th April 2021 between 10:00 and 12:00 on Microsoft Teams. During this event, the Council will present an overview of the proposed referral mechanism, the specification and the tender process. Providers will have the opportunity to discuss ideas, views and suggestions for this service with commissioners and members of the project board.
