ASE1369C - DAFM - Supply of an Articulated Lorry Tractor Unit

Tender description

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) Crop Policy, Evaluation & Certification Division is seeking tenders for the supply and delivery of a second-hand 3 axle, forward control, 6 x 2 right hand controlled drag axle Tractor Unit capable of running up to a maximum gross combined weight (GCW) of 60 tonnes, with drive to be directed to the rear most axle. The tractor unit will preferably have no more than 650,000kms and be no older than 161 registration. Where mileage is in excess of 600,000kms, proof that a new turbo has been fitted and 12 months warranty for drivetrain will be required. Tenderers must agree to accept two (2) rigid trucks as part exchange, including the removal of the trucks from DAFM, on delivery of the tractor unit. DAFM require the Articulated Lorry Tractor Unit by 15th July 2021, with the part exchange of two (2) rigid trucks as part of the final purchase. The tractor units are required to draw a trailer for the transportation of combine harvesters and various other types of farm machinery and equipment. The trailer is to be used primarily for the carriage of a 10 plus tonne combine harvester.
