Public Lighting Maintenance Tender 2021

Tender description

Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is seeking tenders to provide Public Lighting Maintenance as summarised below. The County covers an area of 125 sq kilometers. The contract relates to 23,500 lights located on residential, urban and rural traffic routes and distribute roads. Motorways are excluded from this contract. Approximately 11,500 are powered by underground cabled ‘private network’, referred to as UGN, with the balance of 12,000 lights mounted on ESB Network LV poles, referred to as OHN, located primarily in older urban areas, villages and on rural roads. The attached Table 1: Inventory of Lamp Types outlines the mix of lights. The general range of Works envisaged includes: • Night Patrols along organised routes • Routine Repairs and associated observations • Major Fault Repairs, requiring u/g cable fault location and repairs, column replacements • Modifications/Alterations/Upgrades • Electrical and Structural Inspections and Surveys • Associated Civil Works • Emergency Attendances • Other works, e.g. lighting services other than Public Lighting
