Tender description
Summary of the work DWP requires a team of Dev Ops speciliists to join an established DevOps capability for the Department's Identity and Trust Digital team to work as part of an agile team running 2 week sprints and supporting development projects as well as the live production services. Expected Contract Length 24 months Latest start date Monday 5 July 2021 Budget Range It is estimated that the work can be delivered up to an estimated cost of £1m ex VAT over the expected 24 month contract term. Why the Work is Being Done To develop and support DWP's Identity Access Management solutions which are predominately based on the ForgeRock IAM platform. The supplier is required to provide 4 Dev Ops resouces to work alonside the existing DWP Dev Ops team to develop the live service and also develop future versions of the platform in an iterative way. Problem to Be Solved To provide accessible and secure citizen access to DWP services Who Are the Users As a citizen I need to have my identity verified so that I can gain access to my information to support my benefit claim. Existing Team There is an established DWP staffed DevOps team that the supplier will be expected to work with. Current Phase Live Skills & Experience • To have 3 years minimum technical experience in DevOps. • Significant and demonstrable experience in leading, or had significant involvement in delivering, outcomes involving Forgerock or similar IAM platforms. Nice to Haves Have experience of working within DWP or a comparable organisation within the last 3 years. Work Location Sheffield, (DWP, Kings Court) Working Arrangments Onsite (where possible) for face to face meetings (2 or 3 days per week); remainder of time can be remote but is required to be UK based. Security Clearance BPSS Additional T&Cs All expenses must be pre-agreed between the parties and must comply with the DWP Travel and Subsistence Policy. All vendors are obliged to provide sufficient guarantees to implement appropriate technical and organisational measures so that the processing meets the requirements of GDPR and ensures the protection of the rights of data subjects. DWP will review the DOS 5 legal documents against DWP's model T&C's to ensure best fit. This information will be shared with short listed suppliers . An assessment of the employee status will be undertaken with the preferred supplier to determine the IR35 position before contract signature.
