A Framework for the for the provision of Family and Community Support for Children and Young People with Severe and Complex Disabilities and/or Autism is being established by West Sussex County Council and the tender pack will be released shortly. The Council has scheduled a virtual Bidder’s Briefing as detailed below. All Bidders are welcome to join the Bidders Briefing, but attendance is optional. Please note if we receive your request to join the briefing after this time, we cannot guarantee you will be able to attend. Please ensure you include the email address of the individual(s) to be invited. If an email address is not provided, we cannot invite you to the event. Lot 1: Lot 1 Standard Care and Support Care and support provided to a Child or Young Person with severe and complex disabilities and/or autism, in their family home or in the community. This includes an outcomes-based approach working with Children and Young People towards increasing self-esteem, enhancing life opportunities and support leading to independent living and support managing basic everyday living tasks, in transition to adulthood. Lot 2: Lot 2 Enhanced Care and Support In addition to meeting all the requirements of Standard Care and Support (Lot 1), the enhanced level of care and support will deliver outcomes for Children and Young People with significant and highly complex disabilities that require additional specialist skilled and trained practitioners. Service Provider staff will have an in-depth understanding and ability to manage positive behaviour interventions and/or complex health needs. This level of service also includes additional specialist provision in relation to profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).
