Extension to S N Cill Daingin

Tender description

The project consists of the construction of a proposed extension to Scoil Naisiunta Cill Daingin, Kildangan, Co. Kildare to include 1 x Special Education Needs (SEN) based classroom (209m2) in accordance with Department of Education Technical Guidance Document TDG026, redesign and relocation of playing surfaces, additional parking and drop off facilities and all ancillary site works with an approximate grant value of €600,000. The existing school site is a confined site with no scope to increase the site boundaries and particular pressures to maximise available outdoor playing areas. The time scale for the completed works is for student occupation in September 2022. In addition, the design team is required to assess and certify previously awarded reconfiguration works to provide an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) class to be adapted within the existing school accommodation in advance of September 2021 as enabling works to the primary project. The Design teams brief is to include the following project stages; • Stage 1 Preliminary Design and Project Assessment • Stage 2a Developed Design and Planning Permission Action • Stage 2b Detailed Design to include Fire Certificate and Disability Access Certificate and Preparation of Tender Documents • Stage 3 Tender Action • Stage 4 Construction • Stage 5 Handover and Final Account
