<p>Oxford has long needed a large public square, but this is particularly important this summer while social distancing remains in place. Oxford City Council (OCC) working with partners, is seeking to temporarily part- pedestrianise Broad Street as &lsquo;a critical city centre restart project to promote the safe use of the city centre&rsquo;. The estimated time period is four months from late June 2021 &ndash; late September 2021 and a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be required. The project will create one of Oxford&rsquo;s largest public squares.</p> Keywords: pedestrianisation, design, regeneration
