2020/21 North West Bridge Rehabilitation Program, Mayo Bridges - Part 1

Tender description

This scheme involves refurbishment work to 7 National Road Bridges, located on the N05, N26 and N59 in County Mayo. The bridge structures are as follows: MO-N05-014.00, Little River Bridge MO-N26-006.00, Foxford Bridge MO-N59-002.00, Ballina Lower Bridge MO-N59-003.00, Knockadangan Bridge MO-N59-010.00, Bellacorrick Musical Bridge MO-N59-011.00, Post Office Bridge MO-N59-044.00, Newport Bridge The Bridge Rehabilitation Scheme is to involve the undertaking of the following works: Scour repairs and protection works to river beds and masonry inverts at four of the bridges (Little River Bridge, Ballina Lower Bridge, Newport Bridge and Bellacorrick Musical Bridge). Masonry repairs to stonework arch bridges and stonework river walls. Deck waterproofing and carriageway resurfacing works at three of the bridges (Post Office Bridge, Knockadangan Bridge & Little River Bridge). The provision of upgraded deck edge upstands and new steel parapets at Knockadangan Bridge. The infilling of a redundant approach arch at Foxford bridge. The provision of new stone masonry parapet walls, reinforced concrete wing walls and vehicle safety barriers at Post Office Bridge. Temporary traffic management.
