4 Central Belt of Scotland Councils comprising Stirling, Perth and Kinross, Falkirk, and Clackmannanshire require a residual waste treatment solution. They wish to discuss their requirements with the market by holding a series of virtual meetings, via Microsoft Teams, whereby potential suppliers can discuss how the Council’s requirements can be met and how a procurement can best be tailored to suit. A group of Scottish Local Authorities, comprising of Stirling, Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Perth & Kinross Councils intend to work in collaboration to procure residual municipal waste treatment capacity in advance of the Biodegradable Municipal Waste to Landfill Ban in 2025. They are seeking a contract or contracts that offer best value through maximising opportunity and competition from the market. To design a procurement that will achieve this outcome, the Councils wish to discuss their requirements with the market.
