The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is an independent government department that produces a range of economic, social and population statistics. In order to produce some of this data, we carry out numerous social surveys, by various collection modes: face to face interviewing (currently suspended due to Covid-19), telephone interviewing and online self-completion. Some of these surveys offer either an unconditional incentive, a conditional incentive or both. ONS are undertaking this extension to allow for a strategic review and aggregation of our incentive contracts across a number of different programmes and surveys. This contract variation constitutes a financial uplift of GBP 2 000 000 (excluding VAT).
