The Local Enterprise Office Carlow would like to invite quotations from suitably qualified and experienced consultants to deliver the Carlow Women in Business Network. The background and requirements are set out below. Background The Local Enterprise Office Carlow has the primary objective of promoting economic and entrepreneurial activity in the county and to develop local indigenous enterprise potential in the micro-business sector through the creation of an enterprise culture, the provision of advice, management training, mentoring, networking and a range of financial supports. Women in Business Network As an established organisation working within the SME sector, Local Enterprise Office Carlow is fully aware of the difficulties faced by women operating within the corporate environment. Carlow Women in Business Network will be launched in June 2021 with the aim of supporting all women who work in business and to provide a forum to share their experiences, network and to discuss topical issues. This dedicated programme will be aimed at female entrepreneurs, is designed to promote the role of women within the business environment. The programme aims to empower and motivate women to succeed in entrepreneurship and self-employment in the county. Networking provides an extremely cost-effective way of promoting business. Face to face networking and online networking can build a profile. By networking with the right people, an owner/manager of a small start-up or developing business can exploit opportunities that they would not otherwise even be aware of. In addition, structured business networks can help micro and SME’s to become more innovative and dynamic. Entrepreneurial business networking provides a forum to build businesses relationships, identify, develop or act upon economic opportunities, share information and seek potential business partners for ventures.
