Tender description

This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) is a call to parties interested in being considered for a list of Gamification Experts to support tenderers interested in bidding for an upcoming procurement for GMIT relating to the development of GMIT’s Educational Sustainable Energy Community (Ed-SEC) pilot project. GMIT will shortly be issuing a tender for the following: an energy consultant to carry out the necessary analysis and prepare both an Energy Master Plan and Register of Opportunities associated with educational opportunities related to the greater awareness of sustainable energy on campus. The energy consultant will address the following three tasks: 1) Behaviour change (related to achieving increased energy awareness amongst GMIT staff and students); 2) Gamification demonstrator (a software tool to facilitate increased energy awareness); 3) Engagement and impact monitoring (use the Game to engage participants). Recognising that the energy consultancy industry may not have gaming expertise, GMIT considers that anyone who responds to this PIN, and meets a minimum qualification, will have their name forwarded confidentially to interested tenderers. There will be no obligation on the tenderers for the energy master plan service to engage any of the gaming experts, but this will enable GMIT to maximise the potential parties capable of meeting all of the needs identified for this initial contract.
