Carlow County Council’s - Local Enterprise Office is responsible for the Local Enterprise Office , Economic Development & Special Project Development programmes in Carlow County Council. Under its Economic Development work for 2021 it is seeking a provider for supporting the Festival & Event Fund. Carlow County Council is seeking quotations from interested parties to provide training to 10 festival and event organisations across County Carlow to increase engagement of communities, individuals and businesses in festivals and events and increase the economic and social contribution of this sector. The support is being provided to ensure that festivals planned for the reboot of the festival and events sector are suitability supported. Carlow County Council invites responses to this tender from economic operators ( Tenderers) for the provision of a project in two stages. Stage 1 is the support of potential festival and events to be hosted during 2021 (subject to the Covid restrictions allowing). Stage 2 of the project is the development of a 3 year festival and event plans, focused training with tailored training courses to meet the needs of Festivals and Events organisers in Carlow. Festivals and Events chosen will be supported through capacity building in the area of preparing a plan, funding and finance, health and safety, marketing and advertising, social enterprise I.T., social media. They will also receive tailored marketing and advertising training. This contract is broken into two phases. Phase 1 is the provision of general festival and event training for festivals and events planned for 2021 and it is envisaged 10 groups will participate in this training. Phase 2 is the provision of festival supports to develop the 3 year plan for 5 selected festivals for 2022-2025. It is envisaged Phase 1 will be delivered in June/July 2021 and Phase 2 will be delivered in October/November 2021.
