Board of Management Scoil Naomh Pádraig Corr A Chrainn Emyvale Monaghan 18/03/2021 Re: Invitation to Tender for Architectural Consultancy Services for New Base ASD Classrooms project at Scoil Naomh Pádraig, School Roll Number 18028V A Dhaoine Uaisle, On behalf of the School Authority (the Contracting Authority for this project) you are hereby invited to tender for the following services: • Architectural Services [as lead consultant] • Civil/ Structural • Building Services (mechanical & electrical) for the above project. The above will be separate appointments. The project scope consists of the design and construction of two new base ASD classrooms including all ancillary works to broadly include a central activities space, two new classrooms, safe base rooms, multi-sensory room, toilets including ambulant disabled toilets, shower room, cleaner’s stores, office space and other supporting space. External works include the provision of a new sensory garden and secure play area and landscaping. The works will also include any necessary linkage to the existing main school building and its environs. The total schedule of area is estimated at circa 439m2 for internal works with approximately 300m2 of external works. Funding for the works has been approved by the Department of Education to the total sum of €1.1 million including VAT. The proposed works will require planning permission, fire safety certificate and other statutory approvals. The works will be completed within a live primary school environment and therefore extreme care must be taken to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of the pupils, staff and visitors to the school. The works should therefore be designed and planned to take into consideration these factors and to minimise the impact of noise, access and other such areas on the daily operation of the school.
