Strategic Site Allocation Consultancy Support

Tender description

Enfield Council are inviting tenders for the provision of consultancy support to support the production of two strategic site allocation policies within our draft Local Plan.\r \r It is anticipated that an element of the emerging plan's spatial strategy will include two large-scale strategic allocations within the Green Belt. In order to support this strategic policy, the Council are seeking consultancy input to:\r \r • Produce evidence that will help support these strategic green belt allocations and help demonstrate that the policy requirements have been robustly tested;\r • Assist the LPA develop a robust 'exceptional circumstances' arguments for green belt release;\r • Advise on the precise extent of the placemaking areas to be covered by the policies for the two strategic allocations; and\r • Develop draft placemaking policies for the strategic site allocations.\r \r This will ensure the site allocation can be considered achievable in line with the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and National Planning Practice Guidance (PPG). The work produced by the appointed consultant will form part of this evidence base to support the strategic allocations.
