Tender description

In conjunction with its licence to operate and the Health and Safety at Work Act, NGN have a responsibility to keep sites clear of vegetation and any combustible materials have to be cut down and cleared from site. To fulfill this obligation NGN cuts grass and uses herbicides to stop plants growing, this contract forms the basis of this approach for major sites, which leads to an acceptable level of control of both grass and weed growth whilst also keeping the sites in a tidy manner to stop customer complaints. The scope comprises the following services: — grass cutting — will be by rotary/flail mowing except where otherwise specified, — hedge cutting — to be done annually in conjunction with an already agreed site visit or at a time to be agreed with the Company’s representative, — weed control — the supplier shall apply a company approved perennial weed killer once a year and a minimum of 3 spot treatments. Rates for these activities will be priced for on request.
