Tender description

The provision of a detailed air quality assessment for fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) for Belfast City Council area. This contract is for the provision of a detailed air quality assessment for fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) for the Council, which includes four key parts of a 24-month project: Part 1: Ambient monitoring; Part 2: Development of an emissions inventory database; Part 3: Atmospheric dispersion modelling; Part 4: Final written summary report of the project. The Council reserves the right to amend the specification or to re-negotiate the contract price during the contract period to cater for innovation or developments in the service requirement e.g.: • any movement or other restrictions, imposed either locally or nationally, as a consequence of regulation or guidance, issued by either local or central government in connection with the Covid-19 virus/pandemic; • inability of Northern Ireland government Departments and other bodies involved in providing activity or other data and support for the detailed assessment to continue to be involved in the project; • availability of council local air quality management funding/finance to support delivery of the detailed assessment for fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2); • change in scope of the project as a consequence of the level of pollutant concentrations obtained from any additional monitoring undertaken as a component of this detailed assessment project.
