Subject Experts for Monitoring Qualifications

Qualifications Wales, as the regulator for qualifications in Wales, conducts an annual monitoring programme on a number of key qualifications in Wales. Subject experts assist Qualifications Wales to establish whether standards in these qualifications are appropriate, and/or assessment to assist us in our annual monitoring programme and ensure that our judgement of the awarding bodies performance within key qualifications is informed by appropriate subject expertise. Subject experts are required to make judgements about the appropriateness of procedures and processes employed by the awarding body, using their own knowledge and understanding and with reference to published documents.
