Tender description

This joint NE and JNCC project aims to develop procedural guidance for best practice on the use of DNA-based techniques to monitor benthic habitats alongside existing UK subtidal monitoring surveys. Specifically, the project will deliver a standard protocol for collection and preservation of samples from the benthic environment for DNA analysis. It will build upon any existing guidance or best practice available from published or grey literature to provide a robust, repeatable protocol to support the marine monitoring scientist who wishes to use these techniques to meet their monitoring objectives.
