The project involves the resurfacing of existing parking facilities at the council's Melbourne Assembly Rooms location. The property is situated within a conservation area and is used as a community hall for local residents. The property is protected by conservation rights, but it is not listed building. (Consideration should be made as to what planning applications are required to the planning authority to carry out any work undertaken). The car park wraps itself around the building with the main car park to the front. The property currently has two out buildings, one of which will be demolished (LHS) and the other partially demolished (RHS).
