Summary of the work A redaction software product is required to use when needing to redact information within a PDF file that has been uploaded to a patient's clinical record. This software is required by April 2021 Latest start date Monday 1 February 2021 Why the Work is Being Done A project is underway in Norfolk & Waveney to scan each patient's paper Lloyd George record into a PDF . The pdf will then be uploaded to the patient's electronic clinical record. There are 105 GPs in Norfolk & Waveney with a total population of 1,070,866. During reviewing the patient record when dealing with Subject Access Request it is sometime necessary to redact certain parts of the patient record. A redaction software product is required to use when needing to redact information within the pdf record. This software is required by April 2021 Problem to Be Solved The ability to remove inappropriate information from patient records in the event of a Subject Access Request Who Are the Users There are 105 practices who will all require the software to redact information held within the electronic patient record.
