<p><strong>Supplier Engagement Event taking place 4<sup>th</sup> and 17<sup>th</sup> February 2021</strong></p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>South Tyneside Council would like to invite you to a Supplier Engagement Event to support the development of a Passenger Transport Pseudo Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS).&nbsp;</p> <p>This Pseudo DPS will cover the Council&rsquo;s requirements for taxi and minibus passenger transport services and will encompass home to/from school and college transport, home to/from care transport, Looked After Children, people with additional needs, including complex needs and/or behaviour that challenges, councillors and officers of the Council and any other transport requirement as required by the Council or its partner organisations.</p> <p>The Supplier Engagement Event will provide information about the service, standards and expectations of suppliers of the service, the concept of the DPS and the procurement process itself.</p> <p>The Council would like to encourage small transport providers, including sole traders, to apply to this DPS and will be contracting for individual transport runs, rather than the current practice of contracting for all transport requirements for a whole school. More information will be provided at the events.</p> <p><br />This event is being held twice in order to gain maximum attendance and will be held online via Microsoft Teams.&nbsp; The first event will take place between 2pm and 5pm on Thursday 4<sup>th</sup> February 2021 and the second event will be held 2pm to 5pm on Wednesday 17<sup>th</sup> February 2021.&nbsp; Please note the presentations will be same for both events, so you only need to attend one of these.&nbsp;</p> <p>If you are interested in attending one of these events, please register your interest, including the names and email addresses of the people from your organisation who wish to attend and the date each person would like to attend, by contacting the Transport Team - <a href="mailto:Transport.Team@southtyneside.gov.uk">Transport.Team@southtyneside.gov.uk</a>.&nbsp; Once registered each person will be sent a link to the Microsoft Teams meeting.</p> <p>A recording of the presentation will be made available on the NEPO Tendering Portal following these events for anyone who was unable to attend.&nbsp;</p> <p>Participation or non-participation in this Supplier Market Engagement event shall not prevent any supplier participating in any potential future procurement, nor is it intended that any information supplied as part of this process shall place any supplier at an advantage in any potential procurement process. Participation in the market engagement process will be at each supplier's own cost.
