Tender description

Leicester City Council undertook a procurement process for the provision of a dementia support service. Leicester City Council led the procurement on behalf of Leicestershire County Council, Leicester CITY CCG, West Leicestershire CCG and East Leicestershire and Rutland CCG. The contract for the provision of a dementia support service is from 1 April 2021 for an initial period of 3 years until 31 March 2024 with the possibility to extend for a further period(s) of up to 2 years (31 March 2026), taking the contract term to a potential maximum of years. This service aims to assist people living with dementia and their families/informal carers in Leicester and Leicestershire. It is designed to be flexible and proactive in delivering personalised, strengths-based community support, relevant to people’s circumstances and the stage of their condition. The support delivered by the service will fall under one or more of the following categories: — information, advice and signposting to other services; — personalised targeted support; — post diagnostic group and social group support; — informal carer learning.
