Street-lighting maintenance services

Tender description

Monmouthshire County Council is seeking to appoint a contractor to maintain and improve street lighting and illuminated signs for the county and also for County Borough of Torfaen. Monmouthshire County Council (MCC) is undertaking and managing this procurement process in collaboration with Torfaen County Borough Council in accordance with the Public Contract Regulations (2015). MCC is inviting tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the provision of maintenance and improvement of street lighting and illuminated traffic signs, along with associated facilities and services. The Councils wish to establish a single provider contract for the provision of high-quality and cost effective maintenance services and to benefit from the economy of scale of combining the 2 council networks. The scope of the contract agreement is to provide all aspects of street lighting, illuminated traffic signs maintenance and installation, within the geographical areas specified. The contractor will be required to undertake all equipment renewal, refurbishment, replacement and upgrade of fixtures to include civil engineering and traffic management elements where appropriate.
