Please register your place at this event by contacting Karen Davison on telephone number 01670 623960 or email: Karen.Davison01@northumberland.gov.uk Northumberland County Council wishes to create a framework that will allow it to purchase services from multiple suppliers (on a non exclusive basis) for individual disabled children aged 0-18 and their families through a variety of targeted and specialist services delivered within the home and/or community. This will be in line with assessed levels of need and may form part of a continuum of care. It is intended that the service shall: — build capacity within the home environment and support families to develop strategies and skills to assist with the management of the child’s needs and/or condition(s), — enable children and young people to access social and leisure opportunities, assisting them to integrate into local universal and specialist community resources, — enable family carers to take a break from their caring role. The family carers may choose to remain in the home or to take a break outside of the home. Delivery may include the provision of day, evening and weekend activities for the child or young person and can take place in the child's own home, the home of an approved carer or in a community setting.
