Rental and Cleaning of Workwear

1. Introduction Dublin Bus requires the services of a suitably qualified vendor for the rental and cleaning of workwear. 2. Work-wear Requirements 2.1 Service Requirement The service comprises of the delivery, collection, laundering and tracking of a number of different garments used by Dublin Bus maintenance personnel in workshops and in civil works environments. Garments must be traceable through the laundering process by means of a barcode or similar identification system. Each “wearer” is provided with a number of sets of overalls (sometime referred to as Boilersuits or coveralls) at the outset of the contract. The service provider will arrange to have suitable receptacles or lockers installed on our premises from which soiled garments can be collected and laundered ones returned securely. See attached spreadsheet ‘Current Workwear Information’ for details of usages and locations. Where 2 Changes are indicated, this equates to 5 garments in circulation; 3 on site and 2 in processing with the contractor. Where 1 Change is indicated, this equates to 3 garments in circulation; 2 on site and 1 away in processing with the contractor. NB. Complete garments with reflective strip if not available at the tender stage are not necessary as small sample pieces will suffice. However the winning tenderer must provide a finished sample to agreed specifications for a final sign off before production commences.
