Tender description

The prior information notice (PIN) is for a proposed renewal framework for the supply, installation and services for online school payments, cashless catering and kitchen management systems available to all 32 councils in Scotland and Scotland Excel Associate Members. Provision of a solution to facilitate online school payments. Potential to include software provision and licensing, integration with existing software and other related systems, ongoing support and maintenance and user training. In addition, the scope also includes provision of compatible cashless catering systems or integration of existing cashless catering systems, in addition to kitchen management system for such items as but not limited to meal ordering, nutritional information and ingredient ordering. To provide the ability for premises to take cashless payments for catering services. In addition, the scope may include provision of a cashless catering systems or integration of existing cashless catering systems. This lot may be further split into sub-lots to include purchased systems or leased systems or alternatively this lot will be made into 2 full lots 1 for maintenance or leasing and the other for equipment. Items may include the following but not limited to: hardware such as touch screen EPOS, revaluation terminals and software, installation, maintenance and support (such as call centres, remote, onsite), updates, patches and replacement parts. The cashless catering will be provided to any secondary or primary school within the Councils remit or control and provision should be incorporated for early years and nurseries. Software for advanced reporting, nutritional analysis, menu planning, inventory and kitchen management, which provides various interface capabilities and capable of storing/transmitting all the relevant information with central offices, full management, backup and archiving services for the system and the data it contains. The service under this lot will include but not be limited to the supply of software systems allowing the ability for councils to take online payments for education from any internet connected device. Where every parent or guardian — irrespective of where they live in Scotland — can go online and pay for their child’s school meal, school trip and other non-meal purchases. It will also be necessary for payments to be accepted from Paypoint terminals, etc., if a parent or guardian has no internet access.
