Tender description

EPUKI, on behalf of EP Kilroot Ltd and EP Ballylumford Ltd is seeking to procure power generation equipment to be installed in Northern Ireland at one or more of EPUKI's sites. This new generation will take the form of peaking generation that will operate primarily on natural gas and may be required to operate with a back-up fuel. The economic operators will be required to offer equipment delivered to site, generally comprising the prime mover, generators, intake filtration system, control system and close auxiliaries. In addition, EPUKI may, but shall not be obliged to, award a services agreement that covers parts and services during the operational phase EPUKI seeks to procure equipment in the form of heavy-duty gas turbines greater than 100 MW (ISO). EPUKI may, but shall not be obliged to, award associated service agreements. The heavy-duty gas turbines must operate on natural gas and with a frequency of 50 Hz. EPUKI wishes to select equipment in the form of reciprocating engines of a capacity greater than 10 MW (ISO) (per unit, simple cycle) and capable of forming part of a larger array of at least 40MW. EPUKI may, but shall not be obliged to award associated service agreements. The reciprocating engines must operate on natural gas and with a frequency of 50 Hz.
