Tender description
Ref: DN467765 21/05/2020 - Update Due to the impact of the Coronavirus outbreak a decision has been made by Cornwall Council to cancel the Filling The Holiday Gap 2020 grant application process. The Council has taken this decision as the advertised delivery model is no longer a viable option based on advice in place to reduce the spread of Coronavirus; including social distancing, staying at home as much as possible and limiting contact with other people. *Previous Message* Cornwall Council is extending the Filling the Holiday Gap 2020 grant application process. This process was originally due to close on 26th March, it will now close at 08:00am on Monday 6th April. This opportunity is an extension of the existing grant application process. Organisations that have submitted an application for this opportunity already need not re-submit, all applications will be evaluated in due course. Cornwall Councils Wellbeing and Public Health Team are seeking applications for the 2020 Filling the Holiday Gap funding scheme to provide free enrichment activities and healthy food for disadvantaged children and families during the school summer holidays for children and young people aged 5 to 16. The funding is focused on how projects can alleviate the financial pressure on household incomes by providing enrichment sessions that include an activity and a nutritious meal. The scheme recognises that flexibility is important and innovation is encouraged; applications that involve partnership working are welcome as are projects that can engage the community or demonstrate wider benefits to individual or family wellbeing. There is £175,000 in total available for the fund. There is no minimum amount that can be applied for by any one organisation, all applications must demonstrate value for money, be not for profit and higher value applications will incur a more detailed scrutiny process. Keywords: food, exercise, nutrition, activities, children, holiday
