Environmental improvement works

Tender description

United Utilities is seeking to award framework agreements for the provision of environmental works across its full region. The requirement has been split into 8 lots as follows: Lot 1: Landscaping (a) North, (b) South; Lot 2: Treeworks (a) North, (b) South; Lot 3: Silviculture (a) North, (b) South; Lot 4: River Restoration (a) North, (b) South. North lots are located from Lancaster up to Carlisle, and South lots are located from Preston down to Crewe. A Map can be found within the procurement documents for further detail. Landscaping and reinstatement The main implementation operations involved are site clearance, hedgerow pruning and netting, earthworks, top soiling, tree protection, cultivation, watering, tree pruning, coppicing, landscape maintenance operations, seeding and hydro seeding, turfing, planting, hedging, fencing including amphibian fencing, walling, limited drainage, and hard surfacing.
