Summary of the work The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport is looking for an experienced EUC engineer to help support the department deliver its ambitious IT Transformation programme in 2020. The programme broadly looks to renew exsisting infrastructure, devices and services, across a user base of c.1400. Specialist role Data engineer Expected Contract Length 12 months Latest start date Monday 13 January 2020 Maximum Day Rate @£350 subject to experience Early Market Engagement n/a Who Speclialist Work With Role reports to the Head, IT, and will work across the IT team, working closely with Workstream/ Delivery leads. What Specialists Work On Build/Prep all devices to be rolled out Deployment of laptops and Mobile phones to end users Early life support / Basic end user training/orientation Generally support all migration activities Skills & Experience • Workspace One (UEM) experience • Windows 10 Build, deploy & support • Mac OS Build & deploy & support • Must hold Valid SC clearance • Understanding of Support models and workflows • Service NOW experience Nice to Haves Experience of Working With NCSC EUC guidelines Work Location 100 Parliament Street Working Arrangments Work will be customer interacting and will require a presence onsite 5 days a week, this may vary based on actual activity and where face to face interaction is required Security Clearance Must hold a valid SC clearance Additional T&Cs standard contract T&Cs No. of Specialists to Evaluate 3 Cultural Fit Criteria • Work as a team with our organisation and other suppliers • Be transparent and collaborative when making decisions • Have a no-blame culture and encourage people to learn from their mistakes • Take responsibility for their work • Share knowledge and experience with other team members • Challenge the status quo • Be comfortable standing up for their discipline • Can work with clients with low technical expertise Assessment Method • Reference • Interview • Scenario or test Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 60% Cultural fit 10% Price 30% Questions from Suppliers 1. Does the £350 include Agency fee's? the published day rate includes any associated agency fees but excludes VAT. 2. Is there an incumbent for this opportunity? This is a new role in the team and there is no current incumbent 3. In or out of IR35? This is a new role to help support the delivery of the IT transformation programme all tax queries are the responsibility of the named sponsor. DCMS has completed its due diligence on the role and has deemed it outside of scope of IR35. 4. The budget seems low, especially for SC cleared candidates. Are you able to increase this? The requirement clearly states the budget and this is in line with the SFIA rate card. 5. What is the schedule for shortlisting and interview for this role? Candidates will be shortlisted and notified on the 2nd January, with interviews scheduled from the 3rd January.
