Tender description

The BEEMS (British Energy Estuarine and Marine Studies) programme is funded by Cefas’ customer EDF Energy to provide authoritative scientific information on the marine and transitional waters in the vicinity of potential new build nuclear power stations. During infrastructure construction for the Hinkley point C power station, marine works will be undertaken in an area of Bridgwater Bay. Due to the proposed construction works an area totalling 9.7km2 will be surveyed to update existing habitat maps and identify potential Sabellaria reef habitats. This opportunity is split into 5 Lots.
