Tender description

Birmingham Children’s Trust (‘the Trust’) is owned by, but independent from Birmingham City Council delivering all family support and social care services for the Council. We exist to make sure that the most disadvantaged children in Birmingham live safe and happy lives and have the opportunity to reach their full potential. To do that we help our staff to reach their full potential, whatever their role in the Trust. We organise our training programmes through the Birmingham Children’s Trust Academy (BCTA), who offer a range of learning and development opportunities designed to challenge and improve the Trust’s workforce. BCTA keep their training top-quality and highly relevant by basing it on a long-standing framework called our learning and practice development approach. All programmes meet the highest professional standards and are continually improved through feedback, new legislation and research. All Birmingham Childrens Trust Employees, mainly for non-social work workers, including but not limited to; Business Support, PAs, Commissioning, Finance, HR services. This will include the following: — technical skills such as minute taking, report writing, microsoft office and project management, — understanding the organisation, — safeguarding, business/development planning, data protection, health and safety, equalities, code of conduct, policies and procedures, — core skills, — time management, customer care, communication skills, monitoring budgets, managing stress, etc. All Birmingham Children’s Trust Managers, some programmes may need to be adapted for differing levels of managerial experience. The following: — people management which includes: performance management, recruitment and selection, coaching and mentoring, investigation skills, complaints, supervision and appraisal etc, — leading people which includes: leading teams, facilitation skills, project management, budget management, leading change, problem solving, improving performance in the workplace, leading change etc. Social workers — the social work offer will be delivered underpinned by the KSS.
