Tender description

The proposal is a suitably qualified established food festival would assist smaller cultural events- existing or proposed in smaller rural towns and areas of county Kilkenny to develop a 'local food pride' element to their festivities. The local communities would be provided with the supports necessary to transfer skills and experiences of an established food festival promote the importance of food- and its associated culture to the benefit of the individual events and to the overall concept of food culture and enjoying local food. Six events would take place throughout the year- on an agreed calendar of existing or new local events and would be linked in theme to each other and to the mother festival.In turn the local communities would be encouraged to build their own links to food producers/ retailers and to each other.
