Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, Tameside, Stockport and Trafford Councils are holding a joint Sexual & Reproductive Health Services Market Engagement Event. The main purpose of the event is to engage in a conversation with providers of sexual and reproductive health services around the future landscape of this system and the opportunities going forward. As commissioners of local sexual and reproductive health services, Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, Tameside, Stockport and Trafford local authorities are currently considering what our service provision and system-wide offers should look like in order to improve health outcomes across all our communities. This is being done in the context of existing service contracts which are due to expire on 31 March 2021, and potential wider Greater Manchester developments. We are doing lots of work to understand: - our population needs and the issues local people feel are important; - how services can best meet such needs; - the challenges and opportunities we already have in the system; and - what more we can do to help people stay healthy and be in control of their choices and decisions about their sexual and reproductive lives. This event will be an opportunity for us to expand that conversation with providers of sexual and reproductive health services, to share the ambition for improvements in the future, gain provider insight and consider how we can work together going forward to meet this ambition. There will be an opportunity for table-based discussions during this event.
