Tender description

An Post is seeking to enter into a single party framework agreement for the provision of co-location tier 3 data centre services for a period of 5 years with the option to extend for up to a further 3 years. The primary location must reside within 15 km’s of An Post’s HQ, currently in the GPO and Dublin City Centre. The secondary site must reside within the island of Ireland. The new An Post data center colocation facilities will be a physically controlled, direct-access facility which houses and maintains mission and business-critical information, data, IT equipment and applications for An Post nationally. The data center is the hub of An Post information and network services/resources which will comprise a tier 3, reliable and secure infrastructure environment for IT service delivery. An Post would require to control the dedicated An Post area/secure cage with CCTV coverage (An Post to install). An Post is seeking to enter into a single party framework agreement for the provision of co-location tier 3 data centre services for a period of 5 years with the option to extend for up to a further 3 years. The primary location must reside within 15 km’s of An Post’s HQ, currently in the GPO and Dublin City Centre. The secondary site must reside within the island of Ireland. The interested parties need to be certified to the various ISO standard and PCI-DSS accreditation. The new An Post data center colocation facilities will be a physically controlled, direct-access facility which houses and maintains mission and business-critical information, data, IT equipment and applications for An Post nationally. The data center is the hub of An Post information and network services/resources which will comprise a tier 3, reliable and secure infrastructure environment for IT service delivery. An Post would require to control the dedicated An Post area/secure cage with CCTV coverage (An Post to install) that is recorded locally and remotely monitored with alarm activation in this dedicated area. The requirement is for colocation and related services. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) or similar is not required as An Post will be providing infrastructure and hardware into the rack within the data center.
