Tender description

Oxford Direct Services Ltd (ODSL) invited tenders for the award of a single contract for the provision of a supply and/or delivery of trade material commodities and associated services to ODS Ltd. These materials will be used to carry out approximately 30 000 repairs and maintenance to Council buildings, other contracts and major projects by over 200 operatives and subcontractors. It was the intention of ODSL that any contract resulting from this competitive dialogue would commence for a period of 4 years with the option to extend for up to a further 3 years in 1 year increments undertaken subject to the supplier meeting pre-determined performance targets. Oxford Direct Services Ltd (ODSL) and Oxford Direct Services Trading Ltd (ODSTL) invited tenders for the award of: — option 1: a fully managed supply chain and materials contract for the provision of a supply and delivery of trade material commodities and associated services to ODSL and ODSTL, or — option 2: supply of materials contract. These materials will be used to carry out approximately 48 000 repairs and maintenance to Council buildings, other contracts and major projects by over 200 operatives and sub-contractors. Currently the number of jobs that require materials is 23 000 with some 165 000 lines. The main objectives of this procurement are to significantly reduce the costs in the supply chain and the number of visits made by operatives to stores and supplier, whilst improving ‘Right First Time’ fixes by ensuring stock availability and increasing the productivity of our operatives to deliver more jobs per week.
