Alternative Education Provision: Contract for the Provision of Exclusion Support Including To The Fair Access Panel; Elective Home Education and Education other than at school (2019/20) (Waiver)

Tender description

The Local Authority intends to commission places for pupils who would otherwise not receive an education for reasons of exclusion from school (fixed-term or permanent) illness or those being directed to off-site provision to improve their behaviour, via the Springwell Learning Community, during the current school year. This is in order to ensure continued compliance with statutory duties and powers concerning alternative education provision and will include the following services: 1. The provision of education to those categories of pupils indicated above. 2. Management and oversight of the Borough's Fair Access Panel in ensuring vulnerable young people are offered places which will keep them engaged in education and at the same time, safeguard them from potential harm. 3. In accordance, with impending statutory requirements, to (a) collate and track the progress of pupils subject to exclusion from school and (b) to monitor the progress and to safeguard children who are electively educated at home..
