Tender description

Design contest for 6 Network Rail challenge statements that was run via a Hackathon event (HackTrain VI). The 6 challenges area were: Asset management How Network Rail can improve its asset management capabilities through better information, mapping, prediction and maintenance. Operations How Network Rail can improve its operational capabilities, allowing for more trains on the network or less delays/incidents to occur. Stations How Network Rail can make stations better from a communication/design/operational/management perspective, directly and indirectly for passengers. Planning How Network Rail can improve its planning processes across the business in areas such as timetabling, maintenance and renewals. Performance How Network Rail can improve its performance and resilience to performance detriment using new technologies and better utilisation of data, during ‘business-as-usual’ times and also during times of adverse weather.
