GB-Shrewsbury: AMCV 290 - Shropshire Housing Advice and Homelessness Prevention

Tender description

The Council wishes to procure a service which will provide housing advice and homelessness prevention assistance in conjunction with Shropshire Council Housing Services ("Housing Services"). The service is to operate throughout Shropshire, free of charge to the applicant at the point of need, and/or through referral from Housing Services. The service will in its own right deliver a comprehensive housing information and advice service and will complement Housing Services' provision of housing advice and homelessness prevention. In particular the Provider will work with Service Users to keep their Personalised Housing Plans under regular review, to assist Service Users with the completion of any other relevant paperwork or forms and to take any reasonable steps, in conjunction with Housing Services to help prevent Service Users from becoming homeless. The Provider will work closely with the Council and the service will be seen as an extension of Housing Services' work in this area. Referrals to the service will be made by Housing Services. The successful tenderer must be able to demonstrate that it has the experience and competence to deliver the service and is able to maximise outcomes for Service Users. The duration of the contract will be for an initial term of 1 year with effect from 1st April 2020 with an option to extend the contract by 1 year at a time up to a further 2 years subject to contract performance and budget availability. Contract payments will be made monthly in arrears. The annual contract value will be capped at £102,850 although tenderers may wish to tender a lower price.
