Building Based Respite

Tender description

The Council is seeking responses from the independent marketplace about their ability to provide Building Based Respite (also referred to as short breaks or Residential Replacement Care). 1. Needs Overview: The provision of building based (overnight) respite to Individuals, aged 18 years old +, who have a primary diagnosis of a Learning Disability and/or Autism. In addition, some Individuals may, display behaviours that challenge, have profound and multiple disabilities have limited or no verbal communication, have other physical health, mobility, frailty, ageing issues including risk of fall, complex health needs, epilepsy and dementia. With requirements for; support to transfer, aids and adaptations, such as hoists. Individuals using the service may require support with personal care, maintaining/managing hydration and nutrition (including meal preparation), transfers, maintaining and managing any health issues/conditions (including administration of medication), building and maintaining relationships with others and accessing activities and opportunities. The Services will provide both 'planned' respite and support in case of an emergency.
