20-119 First Steps Rotherham, Rough Sleeping Initiative Accommodation Based Assessment and Support Hub- Contract

Tender description

Provision of a temporary accommodation-based assessment and support assessment hub for adults who are homeless, rough sleeping or at risk of rough sleeping and will form part of the Council’s Rough Sleeping Initiative Pathway. The accommodation-based assessment support hub will provide a more accessible, appropriate, coordinated approach to supporting vulnerable people and find of long-term sustainable housing options. The Service provision will enable engagement and early housing conversations to anyone referred. It will support people sleeping rough off the streets or people who are of greater risk of rough sleeping. The service will help develop individual’s wellbeing and stability. Ultimately supporting them to achieve and maintain independent, reducing the number of people sleeping rough in both the short and longer term. The accommodation-based assessment support hub has a critical function, and forms one of the initial stages of the Pathway for Rough Sleepers. Due to the complex, chaotic and transient nature of rough sleeping it is extremely difficult for rough sleepers to maintain appointments and travel to appointments which creates further barriers to accessing support. The provision will be vital in breaking some of these barriers down. To reflect the intended role of the service, the facility will be known as “First Steps Rotherham”.
