Tender description

The Centre for Research in Engineering Surface Technology (CREST) in Technological University Dublin is seeking to purchase a modular* Benchtop Nanomechanical tester with specific interest in conducting nanoscratch experiments of samples in a liquid environment. * It will be of benefit if the equipment supplied is modular (with minimal technical assistance i.e. does not require an engineer visit) and can be upgraded in future to cover more options It is preferable that equipment should be supplied with A non-contact profilometry option (Lot 1). The Maximum budget available for this requirement is €179,850 excluding VAT. If the requirements outlined in Lot 1 cannot be met within the budget available the contracting authority will also consider a micromechanical option (Lot 2). Please note that Lot 2 will only be awarded if the specifications cannot be met within the budget available for Lot 1.
