TU DUBLIN - RFT for Prism Coupling System

Tender description

The Centre for Research in Engineering Surface Technology (CREST) in Technological University Dublin is seeking to purchase a prism-coupling system with specific interest in conducting refractive indices and coating thickness measurements. The equipment shall be supplied in two parts including: 1. A PC-monitoring system 2. A single sample mounting system The purpose of this equipment is to measure the refractive indices and thicknesses of a range of organic and inorganic coatings deposited on various substrates including metals, plastics, ceramics and glasses. The device will characterise the materials as per the following specifications, rapid processing, typically less than 1 minute required, simple sample mounting with minimum sample preparation, refractive index accuracy of ±0.0005 maximum, thickness accuracy ±0.05 micron maximum, thickness measurement range from 0.5 to 100 microns.
