The Provision of Adult Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Services for Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust wishes to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified Adult MRI Service provider with effect from 1st June 2020 to undertake its Adult MRI services for Adult patients over the age of 18 years. The services required and project scope is as follows: • single site for scans; • for private providers only: In the event of an unforeseen emergency arising the provider must have in place processes to stabilise the patient and transfer them to the nearest NHS Acute Hospital; • any unexpected or urgent findings must be conveyed to the Moorfields Eye Hospital Radiology Department immediately; • image transfer via the Image Exchange Portal (IEP); • scans appointments must be with routine patients within seven (7) working days of receiving the referral. Scan appointments must be booked with urgent patients within two (2) working days of receiving the referral. • scans must be performed within the NHS Diagnostic Target; Urgent zero (0) - two (2) weeks, Semi-Urgent two (2) - four (4) weeks and Routine within six (6) weeks; and • all radiographers must be Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered.
