Provision of Temporary Agency Workers and 1:1 Tuition via a Virtual School

The Council currently has a managed service provision where the incumbent provider is a Master Vendor, has their own Social Worker candidates and manages a supply chain of suppliers to ensure the full provision of temporary agency workers is provided across a variety of roles within the Council. This model has worked successfully for us as an authority and has met our requirements, which include providing a high calibre of social worker agency candidates with short turnaround timescales, however we may consider other models if they satisfy our requirements. Cumbria County Council is required to source suitably qualified workers (including tutors) to the Virtual School for Children Looked After (“CLA”). They will support those CLA who have been identified by the Council and who, for a variety of reasons, require 1:1 tuition or additional support. The Council requires a secure, on-line platform: • To facilitate referrals from the Virtual School. • To enable tutors to report on student attendance and engagement. • To enable Virtual School staff to monitor the attendance and progress of students. • In liaison with the Virtual School team to ensure appropriate and successful matching of tutors to students Keywords: Agency workers
