Tender description

Lancashire Procurement Cluster are seeking expressions of interest for a possible collaborative transitional project in connection with the provision for enhanced pharmacy outpatient dispensing services within a managed service contract. The service is likely to cover outpatient and emergency department dispensing (ED) including oral oncology and day case (Not specific to all Trusts) for onsite collection or home/clinic delivery where appropriate. Stock management may also be required for one of the Trusts. The following organisations are part of the early discussions on this possible collaborative project: East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, Blackpool Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust and Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. Expressions of interest are sought only at this stage to gauge the market for pharmacy outpatient dispensing service under a managed service arrangement. It may also include stock management but this would only be for one Trust. There are 5 NHS organisations involved in the collaborative assessment and the market assessment from expressions of interests will form part of the strategy decision making going forward.
